    I have had this problem and went to a psychologist about it. It was a combination of talking about past experiences, attitude to sex, upbringing & parents - and - pelvic floor exercises, using inserts to get used to the idea of penetration and a suggestion to use a vibrator.

    I actually didn't get over the problem however but I didn't really like the Dr so I didn't continue with the "programme".

    Very important to get a therapist with the right qualifications, AND who you can get on with. There's a sticky on finding a counsellor in the Psychology board, over in Sci
