saw this on DVD, its really good and better then I thought it would be. It a very good taut Drama.

Mark the Gruffulo is great, but I thought Jaoquin Phoenix is the real stand out, he's great as the disintegrating Father looking for Justice.

maybe a conincidence too far at times in the plot, but I would give it a solid 8/10

It sounds like Sam mendes is back in American beauty territory, and with DiCaprio and Winslet, It could be really good.

Do you know if Kate winslet is ammerican accented in it, or is there much of it in France?

Their star-crossed romance in Titanic touched hearts around the world, and now Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are rekindling the flames of love on screen in new drama Revolutionary Road.

It's been over ten years since the Oscar-winning pair worked together on the 1997 blockbuster.

In the new flick, directed by Kate's husband, American Beauty director Sam Mendes, Kate and Leonardo portray a suburban couple in the Fifties who quit Connecticut for a new life in France.
British actress Kate says the whole experience of her husband directing her in love scenes with her US co-star was a strange experience. "I just kept saying, 'This is too... weird'. And Leo was like, 'Oh, get over it'. And I'm going, 'Yeah, a little reminder: You're my best friend. He's my husband. This is a bit weird'."
Revolutionary Road, which contains some steamy love scenes between the pair, is due to go on general release in Britain in January

    Its getting oscar buzz already

It wont win any Oscars ,its quite an average film .
The cast did the best but the script is sub par despite the quality of the book.
This is not a romantic film, those expecting happy lovey duvey stuff are sorely misled.
It is a very monotonous ,depressing and heavy going film.
It does give a good insight into the tribulations of married life and the collapse of your dreams and desires when you realize you can never achieve them but it was too predictable and uneventful.

Odd movie, don't think Mendes really knew where to go with it.

The story is quite weak and drips along while taking a couple of predictable turns.

I thought one saving grace would be an insight into America in the golden age of the 50's but he didn't delve too deep into it.

Overall a poor movie, you would prob find smiliar or better late on a Monday night on TG4.

    PS. Her Speech was cringe.

Winslet and DiCaprio still have great chemistry it didnt sink with the titanic but for me Michael Shannon steals this movie - top class performance

He played a psycho inmate in Lets Go To Prison and now he is a oscar nominee :D
