Not wishing to rise the hairs on the back of anyone's necks (either side of the recent thread opinions) but just saw this new thread on the boards home page (Honestly - i wasn't reading the weddings and marriages forum :pac: ).

All budding wedding photographers beware - read this I don't think we have anyone from the company frequenting these parts but if we do, it would be nice to hear the photographers side of the story.

This is one of the reasons why I avoid wedding photography.
    Women are NEVER happy!
That's not to say the work wasn't shoddy though.

Once you have everything from this list you should be fine. :D

Had a look at their website. Looks fairly standard stuff. The Mono images all seem a bit flat to me. You would expect that they would put their best work on the site though.

Maybe they were having a bad day or there were other circumstances.

I have to say I love shooting Weddings, within the remits of the requested/formal/listed pictures I have the opportunity to express my creativity. Perfect :)

    Think this is their site?

I'm not emotionally cut out to do wedding photography professionally; this I know. That said, for a few friends who have gotten married I've produced some beautiful photographs but I couldn't face the pressure of doing it for a hard earned euro.

Which is why I respect those who do.

I love it but things like this make me very nervous. I have decided to not earn any money from it until I have at least 15 done or really feel like I am perfect at it. I have done 3 so far and another in a few weeks. By saying not earning any money I mean 2-300 max for the time and effort and covering travel and babysitter expenses.

I heard about this before but they're website has some lovely shots, I wonder what happened!

I though the same, then i dug a little deeper and wow i was amazed at the low quality!!

    -snip-
if you go to the second page half way down there is a shot of family members outside the house, over exposed badly, something id be ashamed to see coming off a god quality camera phone!

Yes yes, I know, heavy handed modding, blah blah blah, but I'm not happy having someones wedding photo posted up here if they didn't ask for them to be. If people want to find them, I'm sure it won't be too hard, but you can do it yourself :)

They were under recent events on the site if they weren't meant to be viewed by public they would of stated this.

Aye, I understand that Ricky, but I think it's quite unfair on both the couple and the photographer to post up their wedding photos on a public forum.

Tbh, I'd be a bit unhappy if someone posted a link to one of my weddings/shoots to a public forum without asking me first.

As I said, if someone here is desperate enough to go looking, I'm sure they find it.

I dunno, I had a look through the galleries on the site you posted, and the worst I could say about it is that it's 'wedding photography by numbers'. There's a lot of very same-y shots, but I guess that's what a lot of people want (hence the reason so many people have very same-y weddings).

There's probably a couple of poorly exposed shots in there, there's certainly a few where i'd question the composition, but still, I didn't see anything that went close to the images posted on the newspaper's website.

Anyway, sure didn't the judge say a few of them were all right. And he's a judge!

I was looking at a few of the albums on the site and they aren't
too bad. Nothing a few hours post processing couldn't fix.

They must not have processed the photos for the wedding album?

There are hundreds of photos screaming to be cropped or even have
a slight vignette to hide the badly composed stuff at the edges.

They aren't the worst out there that's for sure!!

site pictures ain't too bad, the one in the newspaper story is over exposed, I know I saw the story a few months back on another site and they had more examples of the over exposed shots....pretty poor going to give someone them
