I'm a Dub, and still living here... but I was just having a discussion with my mate about how there is NOTHING to do in Dublin that is non drink related (that I know of)

Can anyone give me any ideas of fun things to do where I wont get fed up and just head to the pub as I usually do??

Like any cool flea market, etc....?

    Thanks!

    Are you having a laugh????

There are countless musuems, bus tours, splash tours, rock n roll bus tour, ghost bus tour, wax museum, countless community groups covering sports and other activities, boards drama group (see my sig! ;)) theatres (some of which dont sell alcohol), cinemas, the zoo, walking in phoenix park or along one of the strands. There are flea markets all over Dublin at weekends.

    Need i go on???

Clearly wasn't having a laugh if I asked the question.....

Thanks though, have tried a good few of your ideas already. Will just have to do them all over again

anyone know of any book clubs or anything like that? I'm in Dublin but not starting work for another 2 weeks and the boredom is killing me. I'm not saying there's nothing to do in Dublin, just noone to do anything with as everyone's working.

If anyone's looking for a place to meet people and have a bit of waffle about the world around them - you could do worse than check out the Global Issues courses.

They're on at 4 colleges in Dublin, and also in Cork, Galway and Belfast - starting next week. The first one's always the best, it's a general intro to Development.

I hope this doesn't count as spamming, since I work for Suas, but hey they definitely count as something to do in Dublin and it's dirt cheap (funded by Irish Aid!)

I know just what you mean! Dublin can be ****e - problem is there's plenty to do, but since we all live here - we just can't think of anything or have done it already. I'd say it would be the same if we lived anywhere else.
