Skiing In Austria

    Hi, im planning a group trip approx. 10 people to Austria for early March, we will fly into Salzburg, so basically what im wondering is... where can you recommend that is;

    1. not too far a transfer from the airport roughly 2hrs

    2. somewhere handy we can walk to the slopes & is near the centre of the town/village

    3. Not too expensive..

    4. has good restaurants & night spots..



    We are all intermediate skiers, looking for a nice resort. All suggestions welcome & thanks in advance for the help.

    Saalbach or Zell am See would be the 2 bigger resorts that match what you want. In terms of skiing i'd pick Saalbach over zell any day. Expensive is relative...

    hi just wondering can anyone give me a rough estimate as to the spending money you would need in San Johann Austria for one week, were booked into a hotel with half board so that covers breakfast and dinner? thanks
