Having given up on the VRT system I'm looking to buy a Rolls/Bentley, any model considered immediate decision for the right car. P.M. if you have or know of one thanks.

Surely the only way to avoid Irish inflated prices or the VRT is to import a '78 or older yourself?

It depends really, there might be someone out there just wants a quick sale on one at the moment. I'm bidding for one on e-bay at and the price seems fair enough too.

    Hi "Junkyard"

Are you in Cobh by any chance ? Think I may have called down to you 5 or 6 weeks ago in a BMW ? ? ? I have a photo tht I must drop back to you at some stage..

I know where there are 2 Rolls Royce's parked up in Limerick. I saw them a couple of months ago but had no interest myself so I didn't look too closely. They have both been parked up (outside) for a year or two I would guess. They would need a little work but nothing too serious.

Not sure if they are for sale or not but I could do some checking. I would say that they are late 70's / early 80's..

That's me alright, don't worry about the photo! I'd be interested if the price is right as always, I'd appreciate it if you can check them out for me Pagoda113. I won the Silver Shadow on e-bay this morning unkel, thanks, just waiting for contact from the owner. I had a look at the one in Youghal Blue850 but it's a horrible colour and didn't look up to much tbh but thanks anyway.

Collected my latest Roller on Friday night and I have to say it's a credit to it's previous owner, drove it from Dublin and it was able to keep up with the best of them on the road down, not a rattle or a squeek. A big history file with the car and full service history too with recent recipts for nearly 7k worth of work including new suspension spheres, brakes and a repaint. I'll upload photos tomorrow.

Congrats. Saw a lovely dark green one on my mother's neighbours driveway last night, they can be a very good-looking car, IMO.
