BoylePoker.com will be running a satellite to this tournament (Wednesday night at 8pm, $5 re-buy)

We are also running a specific league for this tournament. Players will receive points for a cash relative to their finishing position. We will then have a major prize for the top 9 players to battle it out for in a single table tournament. Full details are posted on pokerireland.ie - The Wicklow 100 league is being carried over the from the Bray league.

If you are in the area or a short enough drive away; hope to see you there.

Registration desk opens at 12:30pm this Sunday.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

P.S. From here on in we are going to be making a few changes to our 100 tournaments. Keep an eye on pokerireland.ie for these changes.

While I understand you have your reasons for doing this, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with the decision to move. One of the main reasons I played in the Bray One Hundred game was because of the way the league was advertised to be run. I feel a little cheated that I almost certainly won't be able to earn anymore points due to the change in location.

I don't want to take this thread off topic, nor do I want to offend anyone. What I will say is that I have enjoyed the majority of the Poker Ireland tournaments that I have played in. I think the various 100 leagues are really good value, and I hope the Wicklow game is a success for you.

Is there food included in the reg cost?

The league was fully advertised with the full intention to move the venue if it was felt to be unsuccessful. If you want to talk to the Royal Hotel and ask them to cut the cost of their room hire way down from €580 for a Sunday when it will be empty anyway or if you want to pay somewhere along the lines of a €40 reg fee let me know.

Not being smart here but there is not a lot we can do here, we've looked into every avenue.

    Stephen.

No, sorry. €10,500 free-roll is fairly tasty though.

Any more interest in this, for this Sunday?

We have one player travelling from the USA (well not exactly but she is on holiday and driving from Co. Louth to play in this Sunday's tournament).

Be a shame to get less than 40 players for this :)

Sorry could not make this today; really wanted to play it as I live in Wicklow but circumstances prevented me doing so.

Hope it went well. How many runners did you get?

    Stephen,

Did you get many for the last Ennis game? And will you be keeping that one going?

110 players there last Friday (26th Sept) in the West County but no we won't have another Ennis 100, moving it to Limerick most likely, but still to be decided.

You get 31 players, as far as i know your worst showing to date, and your convinced to really press ahead with this event??!?!?!?! Little confusing, but happy to hear this!

Didn't make this one but will definetly make it next month.

LOL at Regis winning. He will be telling everyone for months :pac:

Liked the venue, liked the atmosphere created by the players, very little advertising done and we got 31 players. I think we will get a regular 50/60 with a bit of effort.....I've explained my reasons for moving to Wicklow from Bray a number of times, find me a hotel in Bray that doesn't want €600 for me to bring in a load of poker players buying food and drink on a Sunday where they would otherwise have nothing else on and nobody else in. The Grand Hotel looked after us so we will bring our business back.

I didn't mention Bray. Hope its a success , i will support it. Just unusual is all.

Nothing unusual about it at all, if a tournament costs money to run we stop, if it makes money we keep going.

Oh thats how it works.... :pac:

You had said all 100 events were run at a loss so i presumed with 31 players this would have aswell, only asking what convinced you to keep this going. As you have said everyones a winner here so thats good.

    Good Luck with it.
