What grub is this?

    I was out doing a bit of gardening during the week and noticed loads of these grubs around 10-12 inches below the soil, can anyone tell me what insect they will turn into?They were around three inches long too, Rotten things!

    I have no idea what they are but 10 to 12 inches under ground is a fair depth. I am only thinking of one of the bee species which burrows...

    Cheers guys, its definately a cockchafer grub,i see them around the house from time to time, we must have dug up 30-35 of them in a small enough area.

    found one of those bay's in my garden myself last yeah. used it for fishing and caught a master trout straight away!!!
