Yeah Lab Gruppen's are a great amp. You will pay for them but you are getting a reliable product. Seen them driving all sorts of PA's, and wedges. Never heard a bad word about them or anyone having big problems.

Brit Row and Adlib have a bunch of them.

They are fairly expensive, but I've yet to hear a bad report. In particular the FP10000Q has taken my eye, 4 channel power amp in 2u rack space weighing only 12kg

Hmmm...that would hint at something of German origin I woulda thunk....

Jaysus! Every day's a school day wha? I thought it meant somethin' else. Are you sure it doesn't mean comes from sweden? ;)

Anyway I like the name, sounds good. Up there with Telefunken and Schoeps...
It's like sticking GmbH after the name...

Just bumping this in the remote chance Lab Gruppen users might be frequenting the boards these days ;)

FWIW I've had it with Crown and their poxy bug-ridden amps, so looking to upgrade in the new year. QSC will gimme the power I want, but I suspect the Lab Gruppens will give me the sound I want.

    Decisions, decisions....

What Crown probs are you having?

I heard there were a batch of dodgy iTechs going around ok - but they were grey imported and going for ridic money at the time.

A dodgy batch? There was hundreds of dodgy batches, the Itech has it's tainted history but Crown were supposed to have sorted all issues out.

Our IT6000 is running full power fan all the time....even with no load present
Now it's experiencing significant power drops, only showing 600 odd hours and Crown in the UK are charging for the privilege to repair

So looking for something, frankly, better.

Hell no, it's faulty is what it is. Pity cos the Itech would be the perfect amp...if it was reliable.

Bring it back to your dealer!

People rely on reliability too much I think ....
