The thread title is in a Southern drawl as I have been in the deep South (Alabama) for the last few days. It has been interesting to view some real rednecks up close, and my visit to the Civil Rights Institute Museum in Birmingham (beside the Church which the KKK bombed killing 4 children in the 60s) was inspirational.

Now I am in Mobile and about to board a cruise ship with the lovely and very patient Mrs PDN. I have promised her I won't go near the internet until we get off the boat on Saturday (at $10 for 10 minutes in the ship's internet cafe I had no intention anyway). So Asiaprod will be modding the board until then. I've asked him to moderate it like a Crusading Christian, not a Buddhist - so you'd all better play nicely!

    PDN

    Lucky guy.

And -- heaven forbid -- if any cruise ship hits trouble and sinks in the Caribbean in the next week, I'll be there, glued to the telly, looking out for the figure of PDN leading his missus and a line of the damp and surprised, but newly-converted, to safety across the seas :)

    Enjoy!

Just a heads up. My sis and BF came back last Wednesday from an 8 day/night cruise. Their downcast expressions have yet to leave their faces. They didn't want to get off the ship. So I'm sure yous'll have yourselves a ball. ;)

Have a great cruise. Our regards to Mrs. PDN.

Can't wait to hear about the books you read on this trip. :)

I doubt that. We are talking about a boss that can part seas, turn water into delicious beverages, talk from burning bushes, etc. Nothing is impossible for this guy:D

Have a well earned rest PDN.:)

I'm confused  Is it a "what are the odds / co-incidence" you met your Wife at the ship or was that planned?

They'll need the Fox Soccer Channel to catch the English league.

ESPN only shows Champions League from Europe.
