Yeah, it's 1hr 15 mins to shoot unlimited sighters followed by 60 competition shots.

The targets are Megalink electronic targets and are dead easy to use.

It's well worth it. Great fun and not having to get up and change cards is nice.

If I could, I'd be getting up and changing arms though! :D

The support hand takes a fair bit of punishing alright, but at least weather conditions will *probably* be more civilised than on sunday. :pac:

I appear to be having difficulty getting booked.

This must be an issue with your browser IWM. I've tested this on a couple of systems with different browsers and it's working fine.

Sparks would probably know what features in Joomla could be getting blocked by your browser; there was a problem previously where the list of bookable events was larger than the box provided and IE was not able to expand the box to fit them - firefox was.

I fixed that by reducing the list, but it's possible that your issue is similar.

Cant make it on Sunday, gota earn the green stuff..
Is it possible to book a detail mid-week for a practise session? Have never used electronic targets or shot rifle at 25m..

I've tried it on both Firefox and IE now. Click book firing point, then select Autumn Open 2008 and the other box, which should take my address and all, stays empty.

You should get another box after the date one to choose your firing point.

Yeah, but nothing comes up then.

It just stops at this point:

I was getting a time-out message last night and again just now. Will check the admin screens and see if it's anything I can fix.

Ok - try it now... not sure what I did, but it seems to be working now!

Okay, more drama, when I select the match in the left panel, the right panel goes blank, so I filled the right panel, then selected the match, the panel disappeared and I hit submit, to be told:

"Error, cannot offer any services. Maybe you need to create some first"

This is getting to be a pain.

You sure you don't have some issue with javascript in your browser? As soon as you click on the radio button to select the "Autumn Open 2008", you get a date drop-down box, followed by a firing point/time drop-down, then (and only then) do you get the right-hand panel to fill in your details. I don't know how you could be typing in a blank box - it's not activated until you select the firing point and time:confused:

Doesn't seem to be working that way for me at all. I'm not getting to select firing points or times at all. Don't think it's a javascript error; everything else works fine.

Okay, for no apparent reason it's now worked. All's well that ends well. :)

Really nice setup!, struck me as a perfect training range, and you could even try and get a scatt/noptel into play;)

Thanks Floydster! the defence forces shooting team use it for 3P training, because it helps them concentrate on the actual shooting without all the messing about with cards and the vagaries of the Irish climate.

Be interesting to see how you could work it in with the noptel system, I suspect the two combined would make a very valuable training aid. (mental note made for next Sports Capital Grant scheme ;)).

It was a good match. Had a lot of fun, apart from fudging the last two thirds of my own shoot, but that's my own fault. Running the final was entertaining too, even if I did bungle it somewhat. :p Maybe next time.
