Just a short note to see if there are many people playing par 3 golf?? I play myself (not very well) with a society based in nrth county Dub. I only joined up this year as it is great way to play every Sunday and still have time to spend with the family too! which doesnt happen when I play long golf cause it takes up most of the day. with the par3 I am back home by midday.

If anyone else might be interested? drop me a line for more details.

My early golf was started on a par 3 course, but I found the holes short compared to the lenght of par 3's on the course. Good to test your scrambling and get a feel for the game but only realistic if the holes are of decent lenght 150+ yard's.

Was recently on the par 3 at the Heritage in Killenard Co.Laois. Found it very realistic to what you would fin on a golf course. Also a great way to test your iron's with real balls and tee's compared to using the driving range (topic discussed in seperate post).

I hear wht your saying, but its not all about how far you can hit a ball.the course I play has holes between 100 to 170 and I find it really helps my short game for the long golf. Also one of the reasons for playing the par 3 is cause it takes little time and still allows me time with the family on the weekends too. best of both worlds
