Decisions on the Galway City Outer Bypass and the New Ross bypass both due recently. Delayed to bits. Money and budgets aside, ABP should do their job and approve these schemes.

Any updates on the two of them?

ABP are not a rubber stamp. If the project has been proven to be lawful, it will be approved in due course.

You wouldn't want it to end up in the courts because the approval process was unduly rushed, would you?

I know, but ABP for instance have delayed their decision on the New Ross one three times in the last few months now :(

There won't be a decision on the Galway Outer Bypass for a while yet - the senior planning officer in charge of the enquiry is still examining all the issues raised and will be making a decision in due course.

There's no point in rushing these things - they can't be rushed anyway because of their complexity.

Galway OCB has only been half approved so will only be able to proceed to the N59 junction without a redesign. Anyone's guess as to what the next step will be.
