I think most people got nice weather the past few days.
It was the first weekend that I had my gear over in the UK with me.
Got my map out on Friday evening & plotted an adventure around West & North Yorkshire.
    So much beautiful scenery!

Here are some of the results.

3 and 4 are really nice Peadar, the first two have potential aswell but could benifit from either a crop or a reshoot. The tones and subject in 4 is stunning, a lot of history in 3 also great colours. Well done, also did you get a mk3?

    Cheers, Keith.
    No reshoots, I'm afraid.
I'm worn out after being on the road at 06:00 both mornings, just to get the benefit of the light.

    No MkIII yet though. :(

I would crop a bit off the top of the first and some off the bottom of the second, I blocked off some of the bottom of the second one and it would look superb as a panoramic/widescreen one. The detail in the tree and the ruin is excellent..

I'll look at cropping them, if I ever go about getting them printed, cheers.

See the stepping stones in the river, in front of Bolton Abbey?
I thought it would be a good idea to walk across them, carrying €4,500 worth of gear. The water gets fairly deep & the ones in the middle really wobble.
I lost my nerve halfway across & had to stop up, to compose myself. They're quite challenging.
Anyway, I steadied myself & got this shot, before completing the crossing.
On the other side, there's a warning notice, advising you that they stones are unsteady.

The last shot was definitely worth the walk across the stones!

    Nice shot.

    I actually got the fear!
All I could think of was, how the hell am I going to replace all this gear! :o
It was so hard to balance with two feet on one stone, as I practically had my feet together. It's a beautiful place though.

Was there someone on here moaning that Britain & Ireland had no nice scenery??? :D
All of this was within a 20 mile radius.

Nice shots Peadar. We go to Bolton Abbey every year to play cricket although this year we haven't gone yet.

If you're over this year, give me a shout.

I really love the one from the stones, it was worth the danger. Great shot.

The first would grab me more with a little bit extra colour in it but they are all great pictures.

Yeah, smelltheglove, it was worth the danger, but when you're stuck in the middle, you're not too positive about how wise it was to go there in the first place. :D

The B&W pic of the train was actually deleted off the card in the camera.
I lost the run of myself & deleted the wrong image.
Thankfully, I was able to recover it when I got home.
I really like the fact that it looks like it was taken in the 19th Centuary.

I really like the third shot, looks perfectly captured. I just want to jump in.. well it's probably not the cleanest so I might pass. Great shot :)

It's a helluva lot cleaner than the Royal Canal in Dublin anyway, that's for sure! :p
