Picking up Dave/Sky3/Sky News through FreeView?

    Hi, I've just picked up PlayTV for the PlayStation 3, I can pick up 88 Channels(live in mid-Louth), but I was wondering does anyone pick up Dave, Sky 3/News/Sports News? I have every other channel listed on the box, plus extra, but I can't get them ones.
    Is there any way of boosting my signal to get these?
    Also, is there any way to get RTE 1/2, TV3, TG4 working? Since the new trial they don't work for me.
    Any replies would be great,

    Surprised the RTE's arent working on it, I thought Play Tv was to mpeg 4 ready thus allowing it to pick up the Rte channels!

    As for Dave, sky 3, etc they must all come in on the same frequency which you must be not pick up! you could get an aerial man out to take a look at your aerial and see if he could improve your reception! May cost a bit but would be worth it if you got a perfect reception and MAYBE the RTEs!

    Glad to hear Play TV works OK in Ireland just ordered one online, living in North Monaghan, and pick up an OK reception on my Digital Sony TV! Might have to get my aerial improved to get more of the digital channels!

    Can I ask where did you get Play TV? How much was it?

    Yea I was also surprised RTEs etc didn't work. I got it in Zavvi in Newry, for £63(got 10%, student card!).
    Do you have Dave etc, D/C?

    Your aerial is probably Group A which will get most of the channel groups from Divis but not ch48 which is the one you are missing.

    I live about 15 miles as crow flies from Divis, have a DAT 27 element wideband aerial and still suffer breakup on Channels from multiplex on CH. 48! Foilage in summer months especially causes reception problems with these channels which infuriates me especially as I watch Sky News quite a lot and now SSN is showing English rugby highlights at a regular slot (8.30pm on Sunday) although foliage now thankfully seems as if its receding a bit!
