    Did you watch it? Would'nt you have sold your Granny for one of their magic watches? Jeez I used to dream of having one of them! think those guys were speaking into their cuffs long before the CIA! I used to fancy Blake too.... swoon. :p I was about 8 I think what a show.

    I had a major crush on Avon! I remember how they made one of the watches on Blue Peter out of a washing up bottle and a few other bits!

    Blakes 7 may have had a zero budget but its had exellent ploting and characters.

    Getting through the series now myself (on the fourth and final). The fact it had no budget doesn't really matter because the plots are good and the characters even better. The snappy put downs can be very witty and it's interesting to see a show where the characters don't like each other that much.

    Avon generally steals the entire show but Villa also holds his own. Servalan is also a good baddie and it seems the show got echoed a little bit when "Farscape" came to our screens (a highly-advanced ship crewed by escaped fugitives, trying to bring down an evil empire and eventually pursued by an evil lady with a porchant for seduction).

    Did not watch it myself, The likes of That and Doctor who I never really liked.

    British sci-fi never quite worked for my tastes.
    Vise Versa with Americans trying to make good Comedy.

    Was Blake's 7 the one where the Laser guns did not have any visable Laser beams when
    fired? so they just pointed the Gun and someone and you heard a "special effect" noise
    and the bad guy fell down?

    Loved it! I actually still have a tiny Matchbox Liberator which I was given when I was about 3. Avon was my hero!
