Help Needed Finding German Cap!!!

    Hi all


    I know this may be a strange request, but I'm clutching at straws really and was wondering if anyone out there may be able to help.


    I belong to an amateur theatre company based in Lincolnshire and we are presently in rehearsals for a play called Sextet. Near the beginning of the play, one of the characters arrives on board a motor yacht sporting a German hat that was supposed to have belonged to Admiral Roeder of the German Navy.


    Unfortunately we have so far been unable to track down a German Admirals cap from WWII.


    I was therefore wondering if anyone here could help. We would require the cap from around the 10th to the 26th October when the productions ends. I haven't as yet thought about the practicalities regarding transporting the item etc, but will worry about that if and when anyone thinks they may be able to help.

    Firstly, I dont have such a cap, sorry. Does it have to be the 'real deal' though? I cant imagine many serious collectors would be willing to part with such an item :p.

    I believe the owners of this site: http://www.ww2depot.com/catalog/index.php?osCsid=d221a33dd765e985dfeff8d67f8d9b59 were at the Salut military show, he had some repro German naval caps along with the various badges, eagles etc. They dont seem to be listed on the site, but maybe drop him a mail?

    Edit, sorry, I just seen that you are in the UK, so you'd have a better choice of repro items over there. They are usually pretty well made and convincing!

    At the end of the page there is a Kriegsmarine Admirals peaked visor cap with white top. Is this what you are looking for?
