Hi all! For our LC holiday myself and my friends have decided to go to Barcelona. Just wondering if anyone knows that the best areas to stay in are (near the sea, not too dodgy, but not too fashionable as we don't have much money, near enough to the town so we wont have to get taxis). Does anyone know any good companies/sites that do apartments in Barcelona?

Oh also does anyone know when Air Lingus and Ryanair will have their flight info up for Summer 2009?

We booked a 4 bed apartment just off Las Ramblas last May. It was I think about €70 per person for 3 nights. We had 11 people staying. It ends up cheaper than a hostel. It was pretty basic but was good for having a few drinks and sitting around if ye wanted but was close to the action aswell.

That apartment takes 12 and there's a smaller one that takes 10. It was pretty good. Basic enough but when you're students you don't mind so much!

That site looks pretty good, thanks! €70 pp per night is waaaaay too much! We saw apartments for 30/40 a night that looked pretty good. Hopefully this site will have some more along our budget!

ryanair fly into reus next to port aventura theme park so thats an option for a day, its one hour by train then to barcelona from there.

as far as accommodation in town, try hostelworld, barcelona has a very good underground system so no place is that out of reach
