Mosley by stoppage, and pretty comfortably too.
Simply put he's just far too good for him, he outboxes him easily and when he'll need to he can turn up the heat and stop him like Oscar did.

Jeez I dunno Mayorga is a tough sumbitch , he gave Vargas the run around in their last fight. Mosley will need to go to the trenches methinks here, when's it on?

Saturday week, don't forget the job Mosley did on Vargas in their second fight.
Of course just because fighter A does better against fighter B than C does on B doesn't mean C won't beat A. But I think Mayorga's style will play well to Mosley and in terms of class there's a significant difference.

    Your're kidding Carlos ,...... are you ?

The only way Mayorga wins this is if he lands one of those bombs, and Mosley has the worst day of his life.

Shane Mosley beat Cotto that night I thought,.... unfortunately we were subjected to that ridiculous biased commentator on Setanta. He never stopped bigging up Cotto all night , saying Mosley was sagging , Mosley was tired , Mosley got nothing left , Mosley's in survival mode etc.......
All rubbish ,..... Mosley never got hurt in that fight and I've watched it over 20 times from start to finish.
Mosley finished the stronger for sure and landed the best shots of the night.

if you watched the HBO coverage , you would have heard a completely different version of the fight.
The public are totally swayed by whatever commentry they hear.
The public subconsciously think that if a commentator notes certain points , then it must be valid , as they are meant to be experts.
Dont forget that the "Cotto Bandwagon" was in full flight at the time,... and there was an air of invincibility portrayed. Judges are also swayed by that fact , as they are aware that Cotto is "expected" to win by the public and voting otherwise results in contraversy !

Shane Mosley is still a P4Pound great at the moment despite his age,... he is technically the most gifted individual to grace the ring in boxing.
He is intelligent , super quick ,has blinding skill and much stronger banger than poeple realise. He fights like a mongoose !!
Possibly the greatest Lightweight to ever walk the planet.

Shane mosley will very likely be fighting Margarito in a 2009 super-fight ! providing Margarito continues to win and Mosley beats Mayorga.
Mosley has been calling out the best competition for years ... and you dont get the alias "SUGAR" for a gift.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying here mate but I strongly disagree with your scoring of Cotto vs Mosley. Cotto clearly beat him. Mosley even admitted this himself.

hmmmm...... I never remember Mosley saying that.

I fancy a Mosley win as well. I don't see it as any certainty though, as in he does leave himself open a lot these days and you can't afford to do that against Mayorga.

If it goes over 8 rounds Mosley wins it and a stoppage would not surprise me. I expect Mayorga to have his chances though.

also on this bill is a great bout featuring :
    Berto V Forbes .
You'll remember forbes from a great showing against Oscar DelaHoya , a while back.

They're actually both very slick fighters , a clash of styles.

It could be a superb exhibition of skill and cunning ,....or
it could be a bit boring , frankly speaking.

Im hoping for a Forbes victory , but at 5/1 odds ..he's the outright underdog.
Still , I believe it will be close and go the distance.

Cowzerp,... can you include this fight into the comp ?

Its on Sky Sports 1 this Saturday night (Sunday morn) 2AM !
