Hot girl at work - how to initiate something

Not a major issue compared to most issues on here, but nevertheless looking for advice. Anyway scenario is. I work in a huge company that has 100s of employees with many coming and going. There's a girl I seen around now and again. I get the impression she's one of those that works here on a part time basis. Anyway I don't know her name, never even said hi to her. Lately I've been in those 'one on one' situations with her, i.e. walking pass each other in the corridor, sharing a lift etc. Evertime there's eye contact between us. Not amazingly flirty eye contact, but still enough to kind of give the impression of 'interest'. So bottom line is, I have only a couple of days left at this job before I move on. I'd like to take a risk and ask her out. Problem is I don't know how to initiate this. I don't want to come on like a weirdo, I mean I don't even know her name and we never even spoke. She's probably not even attracted to me. But I'm willinging to take a risk. Should I bother? Any ideas, no smart arses please

ok TAKE the chance...you will regret it if you dont...all she can do is turn you down and your leaving soon so if she did you won't see her around...next time your in a one to one situation just start up conversation....the lift would be perfect for that....just make casual chat.....don't ask her out until you get a rapport going first...dont overthink it just do it....ask her out a few days after you get chatting....whatever you do dont let it pass bye...she could be the one (or not but you never know unless you try it)

The OP has said he's leaving the company within a few days, so no problem there.

Just ask her if she would be interested in exchanging numbers?

Go for it! The worst she can do is that she'd be flattered but say no, and sure you'll be leaving anyway so no akwardness!

I know if it happened one of my friends they'd be flattered and happy that someone asked. (I have a fiance so I cant count myself in that... but actually i would still be flattered too!)

    You: Hi, I'm X
    Her: Hi
You: Fancy going for a drink after work some evening?
    Her: Sure, sounds nice.

Saying that, I never had the balls to do this.

My style was generally a load of drink and some drunken flirting!

Yes you should ask her out, as they say nothing ventured nothing gained, and by the looks of it you'd have a hell of a alot to gain. So go for it. You shl=ould go up to her and ask her out to lunch or for a coffee.
    Best of Luck

First off you say she's hot, therefore believe me mate theres about 10 other guys (probably in your same building) giving her the eye and thinking of asking her out.

The idea that she's just waiting to be asked out by you is a fantasy. Think about it; after being constantly eyed up by almost every bloke she meets some random guy she's sharing an elevator with and never spoke to before asks her out- what do you think she would say? I reckon your chances are minimal- but crazier things have happened

If I were you I would try to get to know her somehow before asking her out on a date- you never know behind that blinding beauty you might find you dont even like her that much. What you need to do first is somehow get into this girls social circle or get her into yours. If the opportunity doesnt come up then I would leave it (you never know your paths may cross again) and advise you to get to know girls already in your social circle.

Bite the bullet, ask her out for a drink, or better yet dinner. There's very few women who will turn down a free feed. If the conversation dries up, you can have a bite instead. What have you got to lose?
