I have used these guys in the past:
    http://www.papillon.com/

I'd have no hesitation in recommending them and with the weak dollar it's
    well worth it.

$300+ per person seems to be the going rate.
You 'might' be able to get a discount for 4 people if you go at an off-peak day/time.

I was rather underwhelmed by it to be honest - enjoyed the helicopter trip more than the 'big red hole in the ground'.
Couldn't wait to get back to the Strip. I accept I'd probably be in a minority though.

I too was not as impressed by the helicopter tour as I though I would be. I went with papillon from Tusayan near the South Rim.

I much preferred being at the canyon itself and hiking down into it.

Another vote for Papillon but as Benedict said, the helicoptor tour is fun but nothing as impressive as a trip to the South rim and a mini-hike into the Canyon.

i did the 500 dollar one that u go on the sky walk for around 3 weeks ago
search brenjamin on youtube and youll see a video or two from it
well worth it, the 300 dollar one doesnt land which sucks

the helicopter bit was cool but its better to land, you can then see how big it is.. the 45min flight out and back is a bit long, youd wana get back to the trip by the time you got off the chopper on the way back

The trip for USD 324 lands in the canyon.
    http://www.papillon.com/popris/show_package.aspx?package_id=19&lang=en-US#

Call them on their freephone number and see if you can get a family rate, pretty sure they have discounts for children. (1800 625 009 is the number).

Just as an FYI, anyone going to the SKYWALK should note that its not actually part of the Grand Canyon national park.It is on an Indian reservation just outside the GC (although they refer to it as the Western Rim). The canyon is not particularly wide at this point. To put it in context if you go to the South or North Rim, the expanse is 18 miles, and it is what most people typically think of when they think of the Grand Canyon. The skywalk is only appx 1 km wide, and not as high.It is nowhere near as spectacular as the S/N rims.

Agree that best views are not from heli, but from exploring on foot.If you can take a trip to South rim (Papillon aeroplane from Boulder City to GC, helicopter ride into the canyon then coach trip to lookout points)

If you fork out for a heli trip to the Skywalk you will not actually get to see the real grand canyon
