    Hi all

I did a bit of invigilation there for a college in town recently and am owed ~€230. It's been five weeks now since I did it and still no sign of payment, which I think is taking the mickey quite frankly. I should be ringing their asses up and enquiring, right?

You should have been ringing up and enquiring after three weeks. After Five, I'd be going down in person (should that be an option). Did they give you any idea as to when you can expect payment when you did the work?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Totally. Any time I invigilate college girls I demand payment the next morning. Sometimes even before we go back to hers.

    No nothing,

I was willing to allow up to a month as I figured they might have a monthly payroll system going, but this is pretty outrageous. I'm gonna try and ring them tomorrow

In my experience Universities can take ages to deal with payroll for this type of occasional work. It may well be being dealt with in the same way they pay students for giving labs and tutorials which could put it more inline with semesters than months. Give them a call and complain as there are always loads of people stuck waiting for months for this type of money.
