I had savings & investments that I was living off (I actually sold Prize Bonds I had) & so while not working was also not claiming unemployment benefit. Now that has run out and genuinly have no income (though I still have some shares). On the application for unemployment I said I had been travelling through this period. I was not working through 2006 which was tax base year so they said I might not be entitled to anything. Did I do something stupid?

Have you paid PRSI? Do you still live at home? Are you over 18? What is your employment histroy? Have you thought about getting a job?
