    hi,
you have to be working in the civil service for a year or two then you can express and interest in working in this area of revenue. You can work in two sections then either departmental where you are working in customs in a clerical role ( 9 to 5) Flexitime or you can go to enforcement which is custom officer where you work shifts ( early morning or late at night).

Thats working for a delivery or shipping company doing their customs clearance. You would be doing customs clearance to be submitted to customs.

I work in the Civil Service already and have been working an an EO the last 3 years. Would you need to be working in Revenue for a specific period?

no i think you can apply from any department in the civil service. They only just took on people for enforcement but you should express an interest in it and even try get to customs as a eo on the support side of things and hopefully you will get called for enforcement, I think they do it in a list like you could apply for it and you have to wait your turn on the list which could be anywhere up to a year or two
