Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    You have to love simpletons (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/simpleton) who call for dramatic changes without considering any possible consequences or giving an alternative plan. It's like CND in the eighties campaigning for unilateral nuclear disarmanent ignoring the USSR.

    so what's the proposal here - replace all experienced police officers with taxi drivers seeing as they are experts on everything?

    Did anyone watch that video? I thought it was going to be an 'insightful and artistic' piece, showing how bad the ruc were. Instead it was a video showing police officers being attacked en masse by (im guessing, but i think im right) republican 'protesters'.

    While clearly showing the dangers of being an officer in Northern Ireland, its not in keeping with what this board is about. Can a moderator remove this thread? A thread in a politics section would be much more suited for this guy. Or better yet nowhere

    Anyway OP, who would police NI so? the 'Ra?

    Collusion was disgusting but we gotta move on. Most PSNI officers would not support it, especially the recent recruits. Things are different today.

    Almost nobody may care Hagar but the reality is there are alot of people like RSF Cill Dara in N.Ireland and a small group who have tried to take the lives of several officers recently and since i will be a police officer soon i want to know why these people are so against the police? What do they think killing will solve? Why are they so against members of the R/C community joining the police? What is their solution??

    It comes down to lack of education, no understanding of how the real world works, and being brain washed for 20 or more years by what ever secterian stronghold they have been brought up around.

    There will always be people who dont like the police.

    For anybody joining the police you will get to know these people very well in your district.

    Its what keeps you busy every day and generally keeps you from having little dealings with decent people.
