Im heading away for a few days to Fuer and noticed there are a few good golf courses around where im staying. On examing a few websites it seems to say that a golf handicap is a must. Im not a member of a club and dont have a handicap yet. Im only really starting to take game seriously in last few months. Id love to play out there though, any suggustions or tips how I could sort this? Anyone ever been in a similar situation? How would they know if you had a handicap or not?

Are there not just 2 golf courses on Fuerteventura???

Think they are pricey - located close to the Airport.

You might need some sort of cert - ring them in advance.

Yes two courses I think. Salinas, and Fuerteventura golf course. 50 euro odd a round. Im nearly certain you need a prove of a handicap 28 or less. How do you prove this? I am staying in the golf resort. Do golf handicap certs have your name printed on them or hand written? Ive seen some examples online, there are websites in Uk that will give you a certificate if you send them three cards

Anyone any views on sites like above? Are they trustworthy? Are the handicap certificates recognised?
