Beginners cryptography book?

hi guys could ye recommend a cryptography basics book that i could buy,something in english and not that technical to start off,was thinking "cryto for dummies" might be a good start...any other suggestions ?

^^ Found that one a decent read myself, would recommend. Is a couple years old now at this stage but still, grand book.

"crytpography decrypted" is probably the most basic crypto book you'll find - but at the same time it is useful.
check out reviews on Amazon.

This is a great little book, clear and concise with enough material to keep you going.
