Hey all - I accidentally bought a remote release doohicky, described as being for "Canon 1D, 1Ds (mark II, mark III), 10D, 20D, 30D,40D, 5D" - does anyone have a use for it? I realised too late that it's not compatible with my 1000D, but it only cost me like €8, so it's free to a good home.

I should add that it has a two-level shutter release, and a slide lock.

It'll probably cost more to send the thing in the post :)

I'll take it off your hands if you don't find anyone closer to you.

It weighs approximately, ooh, let's see, nothing, so postage shouldn't be too severe. :)

Sold, unless someone offers to pick it up from me here in Westport before the end of today.

And send it quick before a mod closes this thread for bypassing adverts.ie :p
