considerably uneven breasts

    Hi,

I'm a 25 year old lady. My breasts are very uneven. One is bigger than the other. I've read this is a common problem but there is a considerable difference. One is a c cup and the other is an aa cup. Actually its very very flat. Theres nothing there.

Its been like this for as long as I can remember. I'vte been to doctor a few times as a teenager but he just dismissed me and said that they would even out. I don't want to go back to the doctor but I can't continue on being down about my breasts. It gets me down from time to time.

Are there any other ladies out there with this problem. What can be done. Is a cosmetic procedure the only way to fix this.

Has anyone had surergry done before. What was it like. If anyone would know, how much roughly would a procedure like this cost. or would I be able to get it done on the medical card.

Also, sometimes advertised in free magazines in sunday papers there a course of tablets called nature gain or something like that. Used to enlarge breasts. Has anyone used these. And if so do they work. And would they work to sort out my problem. i just want my breasts to be even.

Well firstly id avoid them like the plague, probably will have no effect.

Go to another doctor, say its getting you down, he/she'll take it seriously.

    No idea regarding the cost.

Go to a different GP or clinic specialising in women's health.

Go to a doctor, they can discuss your options, whether it's surgery or medication. Pills in magazines are a waste of time and money that could be put towards a real viable fix for you. Good luck.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I'll go my doctor so and see if he can help me.

Taram, you said in your message that a doctor would discuss the best for me, either surgery or medication. Is there medication available for my problem do you. I'd prefer to avoid surgery but I think its the only option available to sort out my uneven breasts.

I've heard of topical hormone cream to enchance breast growth but it might only be for those in puberty who would have growing tissue to react to it. The pill is often also used to enchance breast growth but as you are uneven, the growth might be uneven. Good luck!

This is really common! Dont worry. I'd avoid cosmetic surgery at all costs. Personally anyway. I am in this boat though I had a very loving BF who loved the boobs regardless of their lack of equal stature. :p

I'd imagine surgery is the only option. Any breast enlargement medication is highly unlikely to only target the smaller breast.

You'll probably hear a lot of people saying to not get surgery. Screw em. Getting rid of a physical feature that you've always hated about yourself could do absolute wonders for your self confidence and happiness. You'd probably have to pay for all of it yourself however, I seriously doubt any medical insurance would cover optional cosmetic procedures.

This might sound a little immature.. but..

Unless you have one huge breast (like pornstar-ish) and one is just flat, i really wouldn't worry.

Its your problem, on your body. So chances are no one else even notices. I could rattle off a list of a few hundred problems i notice about my body that no one else would probably ever notice.

I think you may be being a little hard on yourself, but if you really feel upset about it then go to the doctor and explain your situation.

Has anyone else (preferably a man) ever said anything to you about them? or did you notice it first?
