I had to do a full destructive restore on my laptop. its fine now, although i need a product key for my office. I cant find this.

    1. does anyone know how to retrieve my old one.

    2. Can i get a new one?

    3. does anyone have one i can use?

By reinstalling the whole lot, did the restore process though, format the hard drive again?
If thats so, the key will not be retrievable I think.

As was said above, a full destructive restore would have wiped the hdd clean, so magic jelly bean wont work.

But I assume you had to re-install office? If so, the key is either on the jewel case or paper sleeve the cd came in?

If its a laptop, they include it on the underside too sometimes!

If you don't have the license then you don't have the license, no ifs or buts

1 if the laptop was wiped then it's gone
2 yes but you have to buy it at full price OEM can only go on a new laptop
3 you can't move oem to another pc , and movable versions are still worth quite a bit

if you work in a company with a microsoft select or enterprise agreement you should be able to purchase from the HUP. this will allow you to use office for the price of the disk for as long as you are employed by the company.
office 2007 works out at around 18 euros

(there may be more requirements than just a select agreement, but im fairly sure thats all there is to it)

How old is the Laptop & where did you purchase it?

    What version of Office?
