Really disliked the web series last year. Is the broadcasted version going to be any different?

Any need for one already? It can surely be accomodated on the Television forum.

I'll give it a look although I didn't watch the web series after hearing less than stellar reviews.

I heard the web series wasn't amazing, but apparently they've shot loads more scenes for tv to make the episodes tv-worthy, so I'll give it s shot.

but tbh it sounds a bit too much like Buffy meets Torchwood, two shows I never particularly enjoyed.

I got a bit overexcited when I first heard about the webisodes (even bought a sanctuary t-shirt:o- good quality made by american apparel I might add!). The idea of a good internet broadcast tv show seemed like the future. I help out a friend who has a radio show and broadcasts from big conventions in the UK and we got great interviews with everyone behind it and they were so enthusiastic. I really wanted to like this...but then I watched the webisodes.

Ignoring the obvious green screen effects (limited budget web series, I could suspend disbelief) there is still so much wrong with this. The plot 'twists' are signposted a mile off. The script is a book of clichés. The costumes:eek: That sort of leather suited thing that all sci-fi/ fantasy heroines were wearing the the 90's, ugh. Characters all out of the cliché book too. I kept trying but I just had to give up after show 4 or 5 even though I had paid for 8!
I won't mention any specifics for those who haven't seen it but it was one particularly bad cliché that killed it for me.

That all said, a tv budget and time might be what it needs. The idea behind is good enough to make a series. I won't go out of my way to watch it but won't turn if off if I come across it.

I've never watched the web-series but the whole premise of the show doesn't really sound that great. I'll probably give it 2-3 episodes when it starts up but drop it if it's crap.
