Can anyone recommend one of those "pass your driving test dvds"? are they worth getting?

Don't mean to sound short but you won't learn to drive watching a dvd, the best way is to practice.

My instructor made a video but it was exactly what you are told in lessons.

Getting real driving experience is the best! However if you want good video tutorials id recommend drivingtesttips.ie it definitely helped me nail a few things into my head in the run up to my test.

I watched the Bridgestone DVD before I did my test and I picked up some really really good little tips. I'd definitely recommend giving it a watch.

Thanks for the advice, good website Irishpimpdude.

Obviously a dvd is no substitute for driving time but I was hoping it would be good to get things straight in the head and for going over the oil/tyre checks etc. The website above though covers most things.

My instructor gave me the ism guide to pasing the driving test, its good but you'd certainly need lessons aswell, its just kinda to have a little look through and pick some pointers out, but tbh, not worth 24euro, the only good thing on it is it goes through the test, which can be handy to know what to expect!

    Hello......

    www.drivingtesttips.ie is a good website......

Another is a UK website called www.2pass.co.uk if you scroll dwn the home page there's a link to the videos.....a little caveat is that to remember that there are difference in signage and the speed is given in mph as opposed to knh....but the fundemantals are very well dealt with......
