    Yes, we are quite backwards in some respects.
    Most forward looking companies allow new fathers 2 or 3 days paid special leave on the birth or adoption of a child- with the option to take up to 2 weeks unpaid parental leave, immediately after the birth (or placement) of the child.

    Its seen as politically incorrect to lobby on behalf of men or issues relating to men (including medical issues- which is why the death rate from prostrate cancer here is almost 6 times higher than breast cancer).......

    We do need to sit down and take a more inclusive approach to matters such as parental leave so that fathers are not left out of the picture..........
