this movie was on movies 24 last night..
it's a ropey story about corporate sabotage and murder set in ireland- made in 1980...it features Rod Taylor. bishop brennan:p and a host of fair city actors back in the day:D.

what a veritable feast of cars it was too..
I spent the whole movie naming the cars..(yes I'm sad)
remember the Garda Victor ventoras!!- straight sixes.
hillman hunters, fiat 128's .. all the fords..commers, leylands...an opel commodore..asconas, chevettes, vivas......
and for the two wheelers we had a clutch of garda cb500s...
    the whole shooting match..

    brilliant..

I love Irish movies form the 80's.
Taffin and Eat the Peach were also good for a few cars!

I was also watching 'Ordinary Decent Criminal' there the other night on RTÉ 2 (it was filmed in 1999), and even then, there was a fair amount of old cars on the roads (garda Ford Sierra's!)

I had not heard of this movie so imdb'd it, and suddenly realised I had seen it, about a million years ago on RTE. Terrible lame stuff as I recall.

Still if you can spot ancient Vauxhall Victors, not a total wste of time. :)

The 3.3 Ventura must have been one of the most ill-timed cars ever made (right up there with the er Lotus Calton!), "1973 and what shall we do for a new model? I know fit an big lump inside a barge - it'll be a smash!"

    Mike.

Ordinary Decent Criminal was on a few nights ago, there was lovely bronze colured Fiat 128 3P in a few scenes. Reeling in the years is always good for classic spotting.

My '59 Plymouth is in the 1965 episode of Reeling in the Years.
It can be seen whisking Princess Margeret and Lord Snowdon away from Abbeyleix House!

Nice one! It has to be great to see your car in it's earlier life.
