    Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone with the same level of eyesight I have has gone for laser treatment of any kind and how it worked out?

Optilase off Stephens Green turned me down because they said my cornea was too thin (at least this is what I remember...). Anyone else in the same boat who has had successfull treatment?

If you make an appointment with an eye specialist they should be able to tell you what you options are if any.

Years ago I got assessed but I wasn't suitable, things have really moved on though.

I know that if i go to a specialist they will tell me what they can offer. I guess the reason I started this thread was to see what experiences other people had with different specialists in different clinics.

As I said Optilase turned me down for laser treatment. I'm wondering if anyone else has ever been turned down by one provider but deemed suitable by another? Or if anyone with eyesight similiar or the same as mine has had successful laser treatment?

    Hey Hooplah,

It's really frustrating when people answer a question with something you didn't ask isn't it? Like, WTF:confused:

    Here are my 2 suggestions:
Have you thought about wearing glasses?
or perhaps you could hone your listening skills to cut down on your reliance on vision?

Only joking man. There is a procedure available for people with astigmatism.

Sorry can't be more help. I got Laser eye done but I dont have astigmatism, but while researching I came across a few posts from people who did so there have to be people out there who can give you an opinion.
