    Hi there,

Im trying to get a Vodafone 3g modem Huawei to automatically connect to the 3g network whenever it drops the connection. Its a remote PC with no user and I need to be able to use Log Me In on it.

Does anybody know a way to do this?

    Cheers in advance,

Any help towards automatic macros (it will connect if i press the f2 key....is there any way to automatically do this?) or any other way that somebody can think short of Rude Goldeberg device!!!

You installed software for the modem?
If there is an application with it (there prob a few) that refers directly to the new modem and its activation, you need to move/copy that shortcut to the "Startup" folder which is among the list of items you will see under "All Programs"
    (I'm assuming your using Vista)
There is the problem about logging you in however remotely automatically (unless that service is part of a modem application). Also you want it to kick in when something else fails, is that right?

That's the easy way of explaining it. Problems? Get back to us.

    Hi there,

    Cheers for the quick reply!
I have installed the modem software and I have it set to startup with the PC.

However to get it to connect to the 3g netowrk you either have to press the Connect button or press f2 when the software window is on top.

Also if the connection drops, you have to manually re-connect to the 3g.

The remote log in software works as long as there is an internet connection.
    Its XP Pro.

    Cheers again.

Is there a separate icon/shortcut for the connect button facility?

    No Sadly,

Ive had to abandon that plan now, thanks for the help.

Just wondering does anybody know how long the connection will stay on for without having to reconnect??
