Over on http://www.digitalspy.org.uk it was mentioned that if you have multiroom "then filters must be fitted to each sky box".

Is this true ? the installers never mentioned this when they installed the sky. But I did notice that they unplugged the phone line of one of the boxes before they left without informing me. They originally put a splitter box there as broadband router was already using that phone socket. Now when I plug in that box phone line I have noticed that the broadband stops working and the other box states "telephone line not connected".

I am sure that they done this because when they tried to setup the box upstairs they kept getting "telephone line not connected" Then one disappeared downstairs and returned a minute later and it then began to work ! I think I have been had. If filters on each box fix the problem then great, anyone else had this problem ?

You don't necessarily need to put filters on each box, just on each telephone point. If you have a splitter, attach the splitter to the filter and it will work on each line on the splitter.

Ok, I will give that a go a see if it solves the problem. Anyone know if I can use a filter from Spain. They use the same phone connection as us and saves me buying new ones.

    Cheers
