New M6 - aftermarket alloys - why?!

Why would anyone put these stupid wheels on an M6 when it already comes with perfectly sufficient wheels?!?!?

Unless they stuck them on another car - which would be a shame. There is an early 90s 3 series coupe going around where I live with new M6 alloys - the car is so high in the air - clearly never designed to go bigger than 16/17 inch - so the 19s or whatever they are make it look soooo stupid and I feel like throwing stones at it whenever I see it. And the wheels are worth more than the car.

They're forged AC schnitzer wheels - personally I'm not a huge fan, but the standard ones look manky too imo. While they're technically aftermarket, they're better quality than the OEM wheels, probably lighter too. Up until earlier this year, all ACS equipment was supplied through BMW dealers.

I like the look of them. AC's stuff is good quality not your typical halfords crap.

They are pretty good looking wheels IMO.

These actually look better than the OEM ones. It also show that the owner has quality taste and has fitting decent rims instead of actual Halfrauds crap.

The AC schnitzer alloys are actually very popular on the 6 Series and lets face it, they're nicer than these http://www.carzone.ie/used-cars/BMW/645/CI-AUTO/1057953/

They look quite similar to the OEM wheels, but worse.

The normal M6 wheels are brilliant looking in my opinion.
