Port from Blueface To UPC?

I currently have my home phone with Blueface and use my local 021 number with them, However the last few months the quality has gone downhill severely! Some days people ring my phone and, even though I have a dial tone and can make calls, incoming calls go straight to voicemail! Also the echo and sound lag during calls has become unbearable lately!

So Im thinking of moving to UPC phone but Im just not sure if I can port form Blueface to UPC. The port form available requires copies of phonebills which you don't receive from Blueface!

One thing I have noticed is that the port request forms are identical...they even go to the same office...Will this make it easier to port my number over?

Would your call history do them. When you log into your blueface account you can download a copy in .csv format which you can open in excel and print.

Have to ask have you been on to blueface to see if the problem can be remedied?

Have you run the Blueface network test or any speed/ip test such as www.irishisptest.com. Most VOIP problems are a result of poor broadband connections, jitter, packet loss, excessive delay etc. Unless the switch to UPC also involves changing to UPC as BB provider I would check the line quality first.

You can avail of UPC phone service without taking their BB service. It would work out cheaper to take both however.

I thought you only needed the bill to port as all your account details were on it?

I asked UPC about this sometime ago, they told me they'd be back to me in 48hrs. That was over a year ago and they stopped mailing me. I'd be curious if it is possible though I like Blueface.

I emailed UPC last week... they rang me back yesterday to explain the procedure to me. She said all you have to do is ring Blueface, ask for your UAN(think thats what it is called) and when you have that you can fill it into the port form and it should go through then in about a week.
She even offered to install it for free and give me two months half price...That offer is normally only offered if you order online!
So I can't really fault their Customer Service team on this occasion!

Yeah they just got back to me and said the same. I'm not sure I want to leave Blueface, they're rates are better and I like them as a company. €4 for a phone line is probably more economically sensible these days as I only use the landline to call my folks...

Why not just keep blueface and get UPC for network connectivity instead ? Blueface is fine, its your Internet provider is the problem (otherwise we would have thousands of boardsies screaming that blueface sucks)
