What the hell? Dvd tray keeps popping open.

Acer laptop only a month old, turned on this morning and every time I close it a minute late it opens again. Put in a dvd to see if that would stop it, but it won't even play and pops again. Any ideas?

could be a dodgey drive maybe.

Have you had a close look at the eject button to see if its stuck?
Also you can remove the drive and reinsert it on most laptops, there
is a release on the underside of the laptop to eject it. Power off 1st!!!!
try removing it and reinserting it.
