Fitting a thermostat to Boiler

We have oil central heating with a modernish boiler . It has a timer but no separate thermostat. Ideally I would like someone to fit one for us(wireless if poss). I'm at a bit of a loss as to who to get to do it. I did a google search and some people were suggesting plumbers ?? If anyone can advise I'd be much obliged.

I presume you are talking about an additional air temperature thermostat switch as against the thermostat that is already on your boiler to stop it overheating.
Generally a Thermostat is an electrical switch activated by temperature.

    Therefore its an electrical job.

If you can turn off your heating by an electrical switch on the wall or a timer SWITCH on the wall ....all you have to do is put yur new thermostat after your timer switch but before your boiler electrical supply .to overide it.
IE get the thermostat(switch) to break the circuit or power to the boiler even though the clock might be telling it to fire.

Much more efficient way of using a heating system. Buy a decent thermostat that reacts to smallish changes rather than a cheapo one that freezes you and then overheats you.

Is it possible to buy a wireless thermostat?

I could use one for my boiler and attach it to my 300L storage tank

You want to control the temp in your hot water cylinder? I've never seen a wireless stat that would be suitable for mounting on a hot water tank

For the OP, here's a wireless room stat:

    Kinda pricey.
