Hi I have a Toshiba Equium a110, a while ago i was using it without any problems until i got called away so i left it down still running but when i returned (about 10-15mins)it was switched off. I tried everything to get it working but to no avail theres no power in it at all from the battery or the mains, The a/c lead works in another laptop so i know it not that. The laptop is was just over 1 year old at the time so the warranty had expired. I heard and read about toshiba laptops were prone to breakdowns, Does any1 know of similar problems with them...is it a case of selling it for scrap. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Am i right in thinkin the laptop is not charging? If so it's more than likely your DC socket that is gone. It can be repaired and may well be worth while if it is only a year old.
