    Not Your Ornery Onager

Saw a youtube video where a truck rear-ended a row of cars at speed, with a CV at the back. It was completely flattened - and I mean completely - it basically disappeared!

    Not your ornery onager

Didn't they do something similiar on top gear with a jet engine and a 2cv? The car was ripped apart iirc

Although relatively young in age (and not eligible for tax concessions), it's a very old design. So it would be generally considered a classic and insurers would probably consider it so.

Had about 6 2CV's, great bloody car. At one time I had a 2CV and a Shelby Mustang in the driveway, talk about chalk and cheese !!

If I had the time to dabble now I'd have one , but I think an old Berlingo van is the 'spiritual successor' to the 2CV principle. Be nice to do a 'European tour' in a Berlingo van at 60(?)mpg.

Tax wouldn't be too hefty on, what, a 0.6 ltr engine?!

    Holy sh1t!

If you pause the impact you can see the 2CV virtually destroyed before it even gets pushed into the back of the car in front!

To be fair now, even a modern day 5 star NCAP car wouldn't withstand that kind of impact, it'd be pulverised just the same.

stop spamming your car all over boards. I'll leave this ad up, but I've deleted the rest.

Another post (anywhere) spamming your car and you're taking a break from here, understood?

    Why not?
While it may not be your cup of tea it's still a classic design that goes back many years. Also there can't be a huge amount of them on the road anymore?

Hmmm, I have seen so many of them when I was a kid in France, they just don't have anything special for me.

The earlier ones yes with the corrugated bonnet and suicide doors (and I had one, 1955, 193,000 kms on the clock).

Personal taste, what can I say.
