MacBook battery

Just ordered a new battery for my 2 year old MacBook. I'm still at 70% or so battery health according to iStat Pro, which translates as about 2 and a half hours with WiFi, bluetooth, sound off and brightness turned right down, but unfortunately that won't cut it for me in college where I often have 3 hour long lectures in a row :(

Anyway, I'm just wondering if this is normal for a battery this old. I've done 232 cycles on it and I seem to remember reading that Apple batteries should still have about 80% capacity after 300 cycles. Thoughts, experiences?

It seems to be about average, however saying that I'm on 22months, 429 cycles and 100% capacity :)

Have you considered getting a second battery to get you through the lectures or scope out the lecture halls and see if there are any power points you could avail of.

    You could try calibrating it
How in the name of god did you manage that?!

I've bought a second battery, 3rd party job on ebay. There are no power points in the lecture halls except the ones used by the lecturer. Sure the building was constructed in 2005 and finished way back in 2007, we can't be expecting modern conveniences like electricity :pac:

Yeah, I calibrate it every month or so. Pain in the hole but it gives me an accurate reading.

Back to my question, how in the name of god did you manage that!?
