Right, I've no idea whatsoever where to post this. So posting this here, as it seemed the best alternative- if a mod feels it should be moved elsewhere, please do so half expecting this to be moved to the Ladies Lounge for some reason.

Anyways, I'm in the need of some cleaning tips. Preferably ones on how to clean carpets and what are the best products to use. The carpet in my rented accomodation has some stains and I plan on moving within the next month or so. The stains I am speaking of are tea stains and the like.

So, what are the best ways to clean?

Bleach, burn it out of the carpet :)

Failing that, vinegar or baking soda may work.

Look at the similar threads box and you'll see bonyarsebogman has asked this kind of question before. I reckon he has a cleaning fetish.

P.S. Cod liver oil and sour milk will get out most stains

Pour tea all over the carpet and you won't see the stain. Tea. Hot. Earl Grey.

Clean the stain as soon as its made.. Blot..don't scrub, you can spread the stain wiping.

Try get your hands on a good steemer or hoover with an attachment that washes the carpet, Pour cold water onto the tea stain and then use a carpet stain remover.

Or just don't spill the tea...:pac:

Do a dirty protest in the room for a few weeks and then invite one of those "How clean is your house?" programmes in to clean up. Easy!
