Recover files after formatting c:\

    .I just did a system restore ,from hidden partition on drive c,restored windows XP on a packard bell pc model pentium 4 2.o ghz .Can I USE PCINSPECTOR or a similar program ,to recover mp3s from the drive,i presume the drive was probably formatted during the automatic restore process.Should i just forget about recovering the 50 odd mp3 files.

    photorec ignores file structures so you don't get file names, but it will quite happily pull stuff off bare metal
