    In their stock states the 8500 is gonna be better for gaming with its higher clock speed, as from what I've read there aren't any games which can take advantage of more than 2 cpus yet. You could overclock those quads a bit to give parity, but then you could get the 8500 and overclock that too...

    Undoubtedly in the next few years we'll start to see games and more other software which can take advantage of >2...at the moment it seems to be limited to a few compression programs and possibly one or two antivirus programs and image editing programs.
