need help!! getting started nubie dj

    hi im a nubie dj i have a laptop with virtual dj software..numark cd decks..speakers..pa system...
    do i need a external box to hook up the laptop to the decks or pa system.
    do i need a better sound card..

    iv got this far but need some help from some experinced djs..
    hope some of you guys can help me.

    It all depends on what dj software you are using.

    Serato Scratch Live for example, requires a "box" to make your laptop and Turntables and/or CD Decks talk to eachother.

    doesnt matter what software your using,youll need a soundcard to get the sound out from your laptop to whatever system you got.
    if you have a mac the inbuilt soundcard should suffice but isnt ideal.
    if youve got a pc and havenyt installed any soundcard,ie just the factory installed one,then the sound out of it would be horrible.
    so decide on a budget for a soundcard

    False, Serato Scratch Live doesn't require a sound card at all!
