Ebay Seller Account and fees?

    Hi,
Decided to try selling something on ebay last month, it didnt sell and i didnt pay any attention to it to be honest.
I got a bill notification from ebay last week , I think it was down as something like "seller account fee's". I have no problem paying them (have done as of Friday) but I think they are monthly fees?
I now want to cancel the seller account as I dont fancy 6 euro a month for something I only wanted to use once.
I have sent them a mail over a week ago asking them to close the "seller accout" and have not heard anything back.
Has anyone closed a seller account?
I tried deleting my card information but I can't.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Sham.

As long as you don't use the site to sell anything else you won't get charged. Theres no monthly charges, just the insertion fees for any items you list to sell.

Thanks for the reply, the message I got from Ebay gave me the impression that it was a monthly thing....

    "Dear

Your monthly eBay invoice for the period August 1, 2008 to August 31, 2008 is now available to view online.

    Amount Due: €5,78 "

So this is only a one off?
The item didnt sell, do I need to delete anything or cancel anything.
I just don't want to be hit with another bill at the end of the month for nothing.
    Cheers.

They bill on a monthly cycle, so your fees for that listing are included in that month's bill. There's no recurring charges.

I thought they didn't charge for listings if the item didn't sell?

If you regularly list items on ebay, you will be billed once a month.
If you never sell anythin again, then you will never get another bill.

    With regard to individual fees:

When you list an item, you are charged an insertion fee, if the item sells you are then charged a Final Value fee.

When you list an item and it doesnt sell, you are charged the insertion fee, however, you will not be charged a Final Value fee. :)
