    Hello,

just thinking about buying a 2007 Astra 1.4 petrol club model. Found one with 10k kms. Looks great, good finish and I like it overall. Mate of mine says he believes the Astra has had problems with constant cutting out of the engine at low reves or when coming to a stop such as at traffic lights etc,.

Any owner out there who can give me a fair comment on reliability of Astra overall.

    Thnks

I guess cars in general are are harder to sell these days. As for the Astra
I seem to see a fair few of the newer models on the road these days, but just don't know anybody who drives one who could give me a real users opinion.

Not saying its a general issue but i have had two 04 and a 05 in all that sounded like a small tank. The issue was the tappets and all were rejected by Opel as not being a warranty issue.

I drive an Astra Club- have it over a year - never given any bother.
Its a 2004. Had 46K miles on it when I got it and theres 61k now.

No tank noises. And certainly no cutting out out low revs. Theres loads on the roads now and I havent heard of too many problems with them.

Its a grand solid little car.

The main thing that bugs me is the complete lack of cup holders. In this day and age...
